Оleg Polyansky graduated from Gnesin Academy of Music (studied under prof. A. Aleksandrov). He did his postgraduate course in the Moscow State Conservatoire (prof. S. Doernsky class) and Hochcshule für Musik in Coeln (prof. G. Gililov class). Prize winner at international competitions: Tokyo (1986), Montréal (1988), Marseille (1997), Cantu, Italy (1998, 2003), Cincinnati (1999), P. I. Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (1998). Polyansky took part in major music festivals: Biarritz (France), Schleswig-Holstein (Germany), Castello Branco (Portugal). He performs on world’s best stages: Suntory Hall (Tokyo), Teatro Verdi (Milan), Wigmore Hall (London).
