She obtained her Bachelor of Music Education at University of Regina in both voice and flute at University of Regina and at the Royal Conservatory (Canada), then she graduated from the University of Western Ontario and finished her postgraduare study there (professor Green`s class).

In 2007 Morgan was a soloist of Cantores Celestes choir, she sang the lead role in opera performances in the University theatre. During her studies Makenzie Morgan received many prestigious awards and grants. She frequently took part at various musical festivals.
