The quartet was formed in 1992 under the municipal Department of Culture and for the 14 years its scoring has never changed. They have become the prizewinners of the 4th Annual National contest of Russian Folk Instruments Ensembles (1992); laureates of the international Chamber Orchestra contest in Klingenthal, Germany (1993) and Castelfidardo, Italy (1995). The quartet collaborated with Ossipov Russian Folk Orchestra in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The Ensemble tours in Russia, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Denmark, Italy and takes part in various festivals.
