Vadim Messerman was born in Leningrad, 1955. 
In 1979 he graduated from the Leningrad Conservatoire with prof. Fishman. In 1977–1988 he had been working as a cello accompanist in the Chamber Orchestra ‘Hermitage’.
As a member of the trio ‘Hermitage’ he performed in Italy and Germany. From 1988 to 1990 Messermun was a soloist of the Chamber Ensemble ‘Soloists of Leningrad’ conducted by M. Gantvarg. Since 1991 he became a cello accompanist with the Academic Mussorgsky Opera and Ballet Theatre.
In 1992–1993 he worked with the Zagreb Radio Symphony Orchestra (Croatia). From 1995 up to 2000 Vadim Messerman was a member of the ‘Modern-trio’ ensemble. He gives concerts as a soloist performer as well the member of various chamber orchestras.
