The Conference "Developments prospects for professional musical education» will be held at the Rimsky-Korsakov St.Petersburg State Conservatory in Saint Petersburg on 7-9 December 2014.

The conference aims to provide an overview of current position of music education in Europe, diversity of education systems across different countries, and highlight the role of conservatories and musical academies in cultural life and in European education system. Development prospects of the Russian musical education system will also be presented, and it is expected that during the conference pan-European criteria of education quality, applicable to Russian educational institutions as well, will be produced.
