The International Prokofiev Competition is one of the most important competition of the Russian Federation. It was established by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in 1991 in honour of one hundred anniversary of the great composer and it’is held every four years in Saint-Petersburg. Since 1997 it has been the member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC).

The International Prokofiev Competition presents new names, helps them in their further development. During its twenty years history it has discovered the world famous composers, conductors and pianists

Disciplenes:

Symphony conducting (age limit 40 years)
Piano (age limit 30 years)
Composition (no age lmit)
Application deadline: December 1st, 2011
Final stage with St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra
